God Needs an Empty Field
In a world full of noise, human ambition, and personal desires, God is looking for space. An available heart. An empty field. Before He sows divine seeds, He seeks a ground free of weeds, stones, and all things that could choke His will. That field is your life. And God can’t build something lasting on a cluttered soul. If you desire divine visitation, start by surrendering everything to Him.
Why does God need an empty field?
An empty field represents a humble heart, ready to obey without resistance. God never forces Himself—He fills what is empty. When the prophet Elisha met the widow in 2 Kings 4, he told her: “Go… borrow empty vessels… and not just a few” (2 Kings 4:3). The miracle of oil happened because there was room.
Jesus was born in a stable because there was no room elsewhere. God chooses the empty places, the lives that acknowledge their need for Him. “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled” (Matthew 5:6).
How to become the empty field God can fill
1. By denying self:
“If anyone wants to follow me, let him deny himself…” (Luke 9:23). Emptying your will to embrace God’s is the first step.
2. By silencing the noise:
Disconnect from distractions to hear God’s voice clearly.
3. By breaking hidden idols:
Anything that comes before God must be surrendered (Exodus 20:3).
4. By walking in humility:
“God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble” (James 4:6). An empty field is not elevated—it bows down.
The blessings that follow an empty field
When you become an empty field, God sows in you:
His word:
“A sower went out to sow...” (Matthew 13:3). The fruitful ground is the one that’s been prepared.
His vision:
He shares His plans with those willing to surrender theirs.
His presence:
The Holy Spirit fills the available vessels (Acts 2:1-4).
Conclusion
God is not looking for lives full of personal plans, but for willing hearts—empty fields. Let Him plow, cleanse, and sow something new in you. He doesn’t just want to visit you; He wants to dwell in you. Prepare your field today!
