The Mystery of Passover: Jesus, the Slain Lamb
Passover is more than a religious celebration or a historical memory. It reveals a divine mystery—a message of love, redemption, and power. The world seeks meaning, healing, and deliverance. God responds with a Lamb: Jesus Christ, slain for the salvation of all. Whoever meditates on the truth of Passover enters a new realm of grace and transformation.
Why was Jesus slain?
Since Adam's fall, sin broke the communion between God and man (Romans 3:23). In His love, God provided a pure and perfect solution: a spotless sacrifice. In the Old Testament, lambs were offered for temporary forgiveness. But Jesus, the Lamb of God, came for an eternal sacrifice (John 1:29).
How did Jesus fulfill Passover?
Jesus lived a sinless life. He bore our pain, our sin, and offered Himself at the cross (Isaiah 53:5-7). His death solved the sin problem once and for all. His resurrection sealed victory over death. Today, whoever believes in Him receives eternal life and a restored relationship with God (Romans 10:9-10).
What it changes for us:
Passover is not just a date on the calendar—it's a spiritual truth. Through Jesus, we access forgiveness, healing, freedom, and new life. The slain Lamb is also the Lion who destroys the works of darkness (1 John 3:8). The blood of Jesus covers you and speaks on your behalf (Hebrews 12:24).
Conclusion:
The mystery of Passover is a divine invitation to experience God's abundant life through Jesus. Don’t ignore this gift. Open your heart, receive His love, and step into your divine purpose.
